What are your trading hours?
We are open Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 5:00 pm. We are closed on public holidays and weekends.
Can I choose my own repairer?
Most insurance policies allow you to choose your own repairer. In some cases, however your insurance company may try to steer you towards their own Bodyshop or a shop they have contracted. It is not a good idea to have your vehicle repaired by a Body Shop that is owned or affiliated with your insurance company as they may repair your vehicle to a cost, instead of to a standard. If you do not have a choice on your policy, please feel free to call us on (02) 4647 6366 for advice.
Do I need to book for an assessment or quote?
It is preferred to make a booking in for an assessment and/or quote. You can call us on (02) 4647 6366 or email info@mpbodyshop.com.au to book.
Is my car drivable after an accident?
If your vehicle’s lights are damaged, wheels hit or parts hanging off, it is probably not safe to drive. Additionally, if you do not feel safe driving your vehicle after the accident, this would be a good indication not to drive. please give us a call on (02) 4647 6366 and we can arrange for your vehicle to be towed to our premises and we can arrange a tow.
How do I get my vehicle repaired ASAP after an at-fault accident?
If your vehicle is not drivable, please call us on (02) 4647 6366 and we will arrange to bring it to our premises. We will then guide you through the entire process. If your vehicle is drivable, contact us urgently for a quote.
Can I choose who repairs someone else’s vehicle if I caused the accident?
No, you cannot instruct the other party where to repair their vehicle, however you can request the other party to visit us at Macarthur Prestige Body Shop and we will provide them with an estimate of repairs.
Can I get a loan vehicle if I had an accident that wasn’t my fault?
If the at-fault party has insurance, we can organise a loan vehicle similar to yours during the repair process.
How long does an assessment/quote take?
A vehicle assessment usually takes around 10 to 20 minutes. During that time, we will take images of your vehicle and form the basis of the quote required for repairs. We finalise the quote afterwards. Depending on the repairs required, we may need to source parts’ prices from our suppliers.
Do you work with other insurance companies?
We are a preferred repairer for most leading insurance companies. When making your claim, request Macarthur Prestige Body Shop as your preferred repairer. Most policies allow you to make this choice, however you may have to verbalise this during your claim process as some insurers will automatically send you to one of their network repairers.
Do you repair electric vehicles?
Yes, being an authorised manufacturer repairer for Tesla, BMW, VW, Toyota and Lexus vehicles make us the most suitable repairer in the Macarthur and greater region to repair electric and hybrid vehicles.
Do you repair vehicles with aluminium panels?
Yes, we have a designated aluminium bay and special tooling for vehicles with aluminium panels.
Do you repair vehicles with carbon panels?
Yes, we have a designated carbon repair facility however this is more suited to replacing factory Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) panels, rather than aftermarket accessories.
What payment options do you accept?
We accept all card types (excluding American Express), EFT, and cash. We do not accept cheques. We also offer AfterPay.
Do you offer courtesy vehicles?
In many instances, customers have been covered for a replacement vehicle on their policy which they are not aware of. It is important to check this as a first option, otherwise we offer loan vehicles at a competitive price if required.
Where do I pay my insurance excess – Does this need to be paid before repairs?
The excess is paid to us on completion of repairs. In some instances, you may need to pay the insurance company beforehand if a third-party vehicle is involved. This will depend on your policy and who you are insured with.
